Lynne Garvey Hodge

Ms. Hodge received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Colorado in 1975 and her Masters Public Administration with a major in Human Resources from the University of Colorado in 1980. She completed a Masters in Theology with a focus on Corporate Ethics from Wesley Theological Seminary in 2003.

Her career has included work in a major Fortune 500 organization, developing and presenting customer service and management development seminars, the Corporate Director of Training & Development for a large east coast retail company and Vice President of an international outplacement and executive coaching firm. For the past 23 years Lynne has provided extensive organizational consulting to thousands of employees and hundreds of organizations.

Service Excellence

Her commitment to providing quality customer service to individual clients reflects the philosophy of "Service Excellence!" inherent in all her consulting opportunities. Certified in a variety of assessment instruments, she is frequently called upon to use her Myers-Briggs Type Indicator certification to conduct organizational team building, sales training, customer service initiatives and outplacement/career development sessions.

In addition to her consulting work, Lynne enjoys creating pen & ink, watercolor, and calligraphy designs. Her work has been commissioned and used by George Mason University, the National Capital Presbytery & Burke Presbyterian Church. She is the mother of a young adult, Hilary--who is also an artist and who has also presented English as a Second Language Teambuilding Sessions at the Ritz-Carlton Hotels and Starwood, Inc.

In addition to her consulting work, Lynne is a historian, specializing in the Progressive Era of the United States (1890-1920) and has written a historical pictorial book about her home town, “Clifton”, for Arcadia Publishing. She performs a one-woman monologue, Suffragist Mrs. Robert Walker for organizations from the American Association of University Woman, George Mason University, League of Women Voters, Daughters of the American Revolution and has appeared on several television shows for Cox Cable in Fairfax Virginia. She has sat on the Fairfax County History Commission for the past 11 years and has Chaired the Fairfax County History Conference for the past six years. She runs a Bed & Breakfast in Clifton, Virginia, called the Canary Cottage – where she also conducts private Executive Coaching and off-site Retreats.
